I’m Ruth, a Brighton‑based screen print artist and I’ve been happily printing for over twenty years.

My prints are called Cephalopod Scenes (pronounced sefalopod), my work brings together two things I love: Sussex architecture and creatures that live in the sea. 

 

​​I love creating my work, I enjoy drawing the structure and formal patterns in the buildings and then fluid, agile octopus. Each octopus has a different character and perhaps a different intention. Curious or conquering you decide.
